The company

How it all started

On his tenth birthday, Nate Rube received a "Märklin Elex 1052" electronics experiments kit from his parents. He spent every spare minute enthusiastically tinkering and experimenting with a range of electrical circuits. At twelve years old, he built his own transmitter and receiver station, using empty mustard jars as isolators. It proved capable of remotely controlling his neighbour's electric garage door ‒ to their great surprise.

When semiconductor components first became affordable for private users, Nate built various test circuits and produced his own lit circuit boards, receiving many a soldering burn in the process. Just a few years later he was selling the first LED lighting to the pharmaceuticals industry for industrial imaging purposes.

Inquisitive and eager to learn, he continued to build on the electronics side of the business, but quickly saw that the sector could not keep pace with cheaply manufactured mass products from China and that it would have to evolve into a constantly developing niche sector ‒ and that continues today.

The name rantronik has a very special significance and history, as the process to register the ancillary business meant it was necessary to find a creative name right from the start. The initials of his future wife Anne were combined with his own to this end:
rube, anne & nate elektronik.

Our range of services steadily expanded with the addition of international business development, interim and project management, coaching and other elements; nevertheless, the name rantronik has stood for expertise, reliability and flexibility to this day and has remained our personal brand ‒ we have left our mark..

Our approach

We start every project with extensive consultation and communication with our clients because we aim to understand their ideas, expectations and goals down to the finest detail.

Then we start by implementing the client's specific requirements in a project plan, giving equal consideration to technical feasibility and economic viability in our deliberations.

Over the course of the ongoing project, we not only bring our long-standing experience and expertise in the sector to the table at all times, but also provide timely advice on the coaching, courses and training sessions necessary ‒ from our perspective ‒ for team building purposes for everyone involved in the project.

We monitor all the project stages we agree with the client, providing information about the current status of the project on an ongoing basis.

Where we gather equivalent bids based on meaningful tender documents to help with the decision-making process, we always provide our clients with alternatives to our services ‒ because final decision-making authority always rests with the client.

“Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Henry Ford

Our philosophy: Your project, in safe hands.

Our professional ethics mean that we always draw on our diligence, reliability, thoroughness and interpersonal skills, relying on the latest methods, to complete our clients' assignments in a goal-oriented and efficient manner. Our aim is to eliminate weaknesses, build on strengths, minimise risks and seize opportunities so that together we can effect successful, positive change ‒ and always with complete sensitivity to the situation and all those involved. We want to find perfect, tailor-made solutions for our clients without tying them to specific ranges of products or services, and continually optimise their price-performance ratio with the use of expert services and modern means of communication. We therefore continue to build on our expertise by tracking current market developments and constantly sharing knowledge with clients, suppliers and our partners in our network. Because our advisory, planning and management work is always carried out on behalf of our client, and their maximum satisfaction always takes centre stage in our work as a whole.
